TIPS FOR A GREENER LIFESTYLE

and info on solar water heating, photovoltaics, wind power and much
more. It
also runs an education service with a Renewable Energy Display Trailer
for use in schools, fetes, youth centres, towns and village centres.

- Use
Fair Trade tea, coffee and sugar at home and in the workplace. Available
from OXFAM, Traidcraft and supermarkets. Fair Trade helps small
farmers and their families.
- Buy
loose fruits and vegetables, and compost all your garden and kitchen
waste.
- Recycle
as much of your household rubbish as possible: tins, glass, paper,
etc.
- Buy
goods made from recycled materials such as kitchen paper and rubbish
bags.
- Take
old and unused clothing to charity shops or recycle it.
- Dispose
of household appliances such as fridges at approved disposal sites,
or contact your local council to find out if they have a collection
service for such items.
- There
are charities and organisations which recycle and use old but serviceable
furniture. Contact your local council for more details.

Support your local charity shops.
- Buy
green concentrated washing liquids and powders.
- Take
a reusable bag shopping and say no to all those unwanted plastic
bags.
